That explains it.  I don't crochet.  At some point I need to find a crochet class because me trying to figure it out on my own isn't working.  Oh well. Smiley

Your paw prints look very nice.

Have you ever looked at NexStitch?  They have crochet videos up there.  If you're a visual kind of person, its a pretty good place to go.  I learned to crochet with the videos up there, and the people on the crochet board here are incredibly helpful.

I've found that I prefer to crochet certain things rather than knit them, its much easier to gain speed in crochet than in knitting.  Once you get the hang of it, it goes lightning fast.

I am still working on my first cloth which is a kitty cloth.  I a using multi colored yarn since I promised I would use up some of my stash before buying more yarn.  I hope it will still turn out okay.  When I finish do I post it on the blog?  Or just here?

Thank you, next time I get the gumption to learn to crochet (I already have the hooks and of course the yarn) I will look for that site.

In the meantime I just got an order from my aunt to do 8 dishcloths.  All of them come from here: http://www.jimsyldesign.com/dishbout/kpatterns/knitting.html

These are the patterns I am doing.  I will post them when I am done with all eight.

pebble
friendship chain
little tent
baby fern
spring flower
moss diamonds
woven
double fleck stitch

Yay!! Great way to start off the new year.

By the way, I never did finish the scrubber because I kept forgetting to slip the first stitch which looks like an essential part of the pattern.  It seems like it would come out quite small as well.  I may try again at some point

Gizmonic, I love how your hello kitty is coming out.

Great site, btw.  I like the little tent pattern.  In fact, I like 'em all!  Shocked Smiley

If any of you have Ravelry accounts, Maile Mauch has some gorgeous cloth designs! I'm thinking I may do Flickering Flames first, but there's so many to choose from! Smiley

oy! I've  been back online for 2ish days.  I'll be getting back to the list soon enough.  While I was out of internet access, I knitted several round dishcloths of the same pattern (from the spiral baby blanket pattern) and started a big altered canvas project and finished two.  MAN I need our router to die more often! lol

Its cool to see people posting already.  Keep up the great work, all.  Can't wait to see the finished phantom and hello kitty :-)

oh yeah, special thanks to mochaxlight - I had never seen her site before... she has TONS of lovely patterns! I went to look at her page with no intention of adding to the list until later tonight but just fell in love and started on the list on my blog LOL...

I'll update the list here, too, I think it will just be easier to do it in one spot then transfer it over.  I don't want to deprive the people here of the yummilicious links.

Oooo...the Flickering Flames is my favorite too, I think.  Thanks for pointing us to that designer, MXL.

Glad you're back, WCX...post pics when you can.

I have fallen prey to the weaving bug...bought a table loom this past Saturday!  Weeee!  Hope I can even make a dent in our list of cloths this year because of it.  You all will inspire me to stick to it, I'm sure.

TTFN,
RM
