As for a yarn swap... let me get this One Heart One World out of the way (http://www.funkycatstudio.com/?p=6) and I'll see what I can do.  It looks like our Wal*mart got a bunch of new stuff in along with small balls of solid in red, which I have been really attracted to lately.  i'd prefer the cones, but that's okay.  I'll take what I can get

I do have a couple balls of solid laying around, but I'm hoarding them :-(

Hmm.... I don't know what to work on next, but that Skully is looking AWESOME...

#3 cloth for my aunt.  At this rate I'll have all 8 done by the end of the year.  I'm aiming for at least by the end of the month (though I would prefer greatly sooner, I don't want to leave her waiting).

myklia, your friendship chain looks better than the one on from jim's site (no offence no anyone of course) i just think it looks better to see the whole thing.

i had some dental work done yesterday and slept almost all day (gum surgery, extracted a tooth) and i tried to do some knitting last night but was feeling a little queezy... was thinking of trying again today but can't decide what to make   i love skully but not feeling quite "with it" (thanks vicodin!) to keep track of where i am in the pattern.

sooo i might try garter stitch lace or the garter drop stitch... i haven't seen anybody do that one...

You poor thing.  Been there.  When I had a similar thing in high school I think it took a couple of days for me to feel normal again.

Thanks for the compliments on the Friendship chain and Oak Leaf cloths. 

I vote for the garter drop stitch.  I can't think off the top of my head what it looks like, but I want to see if I should consider it for the future.  I haven't done any drop stitch patterns.  I still have nightmares of my unintentional dropped stitches when I first learned to knit

I tried to start the Spring Flower Motif today, but the pattern is written in a way I don't like and I screwed up and ended up frogging 10 or so rows.  I rewrote the pattern in word and e-mailed it to my job.  I don't have printing capabilities at home, but I can print there and start all over again.

So I haven't looked at the first page patterns for some time.  You totally rock WCX!!!!!  Tons of patterns I haven't even seen before.  Though I swear, once I am done with the cloths for aunt and my swaps, I will do the garterlac.  Don't let me get distracted, I must face my fears which is why after that I should do the garter drop stitch, there is one with short rows, and a round one.  All of these will help me to obtain some important new knitting skills.  Yay!!
