I used an APC to send my package, so I don't get the play by play with my DC#.  It left my post office Monday morning, so I'm hoping my partner receives today.

I am really enjoying watching the gallery.  I hope next paycheck to at least get a bento.  I will work on getting all the accessories overtime.  All of you and this swap are an inspiration.

Centrallyisolated, your tiny fruits are very cute  and the bag looks really professional. I love that fabric. Were you going for a winter theme with the blue boxes and cookie cutters?

Well, the mini containers are blue because starlawill actually has another bento that's dark blue and was in need of some inner containers.  But the snowflake and mitten cookie cutters were totally chosen with winter in mind.  Ironically, there's not too much winter in Ithaca the past few days... we've been having spring weather!

us too! so weird. i've been wearing jackets. it was 60 yesterday! whaaa?

my other bento is actually the same one that avian flight got but in blue. and those containers are gonna go so well in it!

and yeah i think that is a grapefruit spoon. sweeeet.
when my hubby saw it he asked if it was a spife (spoon and knife). lol

I work in a pretty tightly secured building so I'm always nervous about bringing an actual knife with my lunch, and the plastic ones don't even work.  But a spife/grapefruit spoon, I wonder if that would work...

I know that Silly rec'd but she won't be able to post for a bit since it's the beginning of Semester and all. So ya'll will have to wait a bit for the bento-ness that i sent her

that silverware is awesome! i didn't know that you could do that!

i would also be up for a round 2, depending on the timing of it (lots of high level classes this semester cuts down on my crafting time D:)

These are all so cute!  Starlawill, did centrallyisolated know the fabric would match your laptop lunchbox perfectly?

she actually has the same one as me. down to the colors! i didn't think of mentioning the colors in my questionnaire. so plumpossum didn't know that when she matched us up. it worked out beautifully!
and i bet the spife would work really well!
she did a really beautiful job on the bag and covering the silverware.

Yeah, I think technically it is a grapefruit spoon, but I use it more like a spife... I was having a hard time finding a knife that would fit well in the box, and so a serrated spoon seemed to be the answer!

I have a laptop lunchbox too, and have a hard time finding silverware to fit.  That's why I paired you two, because you could understand the nuances of the LLB.

The silverware that comes with the LLB doesn't even fit!

I must say I'm really impressed with everyone's crafts so far, finding things to craft for a bento can be pretty difficult.
