Okay so I am atempting my first "quilt." It's just some old jeans cut up into squares and then machine stitched with a half inch seam on the outside...making a rag quilt. I have the first row of eight squares (yes, it's small!) together and the second row but I am so lost on how to sew them both together with the seems and what not. Wow, this probably doesn't make any sense! But if anyone knows what I am trying to ask...please answer. THANKS!!

I was very confused about this also and I found the best help by doing a 'rag quilt' google search - I found some very good instructions.

put the smooth sides together... sew half inch seam over existing seams.

it's like sewing backwards...

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley
