my daughters friend loves the harry potter series i decided to make the book of monsters its about 2 x 3 inches or so big.  i also made shrinky dink charms for zipper pulls.
the book of monsters has 20 pages which were glued then handsewn then the fur was glued then machine sewn i glued in a suede red tongue/bookmark and a snap to close the mouth the teeth were shaped using sculpey baking clay and painted with acrylic paints.  im sorry about the photo it was rather muggy outside the eye is green Smiley
i also found the owl on clearance from $12.99 to $1 which was a success!
click thumbnails and it will enlarge Smiley

Love it!   I wanted to make a book of monsters for my sweetie-p for xmas, but didn't have time... it will have to wait for his birthday in august!!  Grin  I love the look of yours and how it has a rustic and old-fashioned-feel.  I was thinking of just using felt for the teeth, but after looking at yours, I may have to experiment with sculpy??  What kind of paper did you use??
