Thanks for your comments! Smiley

I decided to do a quick tutorial for anyone who wanted to know how I did the shirt. As I said, it's very simple.

Step one. Put on your two shirts layering one on top the other. They should be the same size.

Step two. Pull both shirts so they line up at the bottom and pin at the bottom seam. Do the same for the side seams.

Step three.  Carefully take off the shirts making sure the pins dont stick you or fall out.  Lay them out as flat as possible and pin the seams at the top of the shirt.

Step four.  Smooth out any wrinkles on the shirts. Take your tailors chalk (or whatever you use to mark) and draw your lines from the top to the bottom of the shirt. I drew my lines diagonally and made the areas I wanted to keep purple one inch while the ones I wanted pink were two inches.

Step five. Repeat Step four for the back of the shirt.

Step six. Sew along the lines you made on the front and the back.

Step seven. Cut away the areas where you want the shirt underneath to show. In my case, I cut away the two inch areas where I wanted the pink to show through. I cut it haphazardly without going to close to the stitches I made to get the distressed effect.

Step eight. Sew on any embellishments.

Step nine. The easiest of one of them all. Wear your shirt!

You can also watch the threadbanger episode here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzvJsmlRMuQ. It's probably explained better there.

Love your shirt!

Love the texture, love how easy it will be to play around with color!
This will be a great project to get a friend of mine into sewing.
