Those of you doing  Horse Powers 12" square CAL may recognise this pattern !
I needed a housewarming present for a friend who has a lilac sofa and thought an extended January square would fit the bill .

Unfortunately  i ran out of yarn on the back of the cushion cover so had to fill with plain white . don't you just hate it when that happens ?  Not sure how it turned out really?

also, I wasnt sure how to deal with the opening - saw a  cushion in a book with buttons so i did something similar - but with crochet circles rather than buttons-  i'd be interested to know how do other people do cushion covers ?

I've never done one but I think yours is aesthetically pleasing. It looks like a sham pillow case.

I love it! I especially like the crocheted circles instead of buttons. I was never a fan of buttons on pillows because they almost always end up making the pillow fairly uncomfortable.

That came out very pretty!  I love the dark background, and the opening is perfect.  Good job!

oooh pretty  Grin
It never crossed my mind to make cushion covers from the squares but now I think a couple of matching cushions would add to the overall awesomeness of the CAL blanket  Grin

Good idea! The pattern makes a nice looking pillow.
