Is there any program or something that can be used to make crochet charts (the type you see in japanese patterns)? When I draw them out by hand they look horrible.

hmm ive never done it before... but maybe excel. yeah that would probably work. cause you could color in the squares and what not

I use excel to make knitting and crochet patterns. I adjust each cell to be wider than tall for knit stitches and taller than wide for crochet so it's a more realistic representation. I'm sure there are programs out there, but this way is free, lol.
