it is not inertia alone that is responsible for human relationships repeating themselves, monotonous and un-renewed, it is shyness before all else.

Uh-oh, my suggestion may have perilous consequences for your wedding guests!

Haha Mar, you made me giggle.
Man, if we had food as our centerpieces, I'd probably just gobble it all down. I've heard brides are so super busy at their wedding that they don't really get to eat and then they're just ravenous.

Ahhh I would love to see that as an article in a newspaper or something.
I think food centerpieces are actually kinda neat. That way, if you're about to pass out from not eating, you're never too far from food. The apple thing would be neat too, you'd just have to be super careful about them not getting bruised or brown. I lurve when people have little mini wedding cakes as centerpieces on each table, but I'm sure that'd be crazy expensive.
Gahhhh I haven't eaten in ages and I can't stop thinking about food now!

Just a thought.

Here is something a bit different.. http://www.silkflowersandmore.com/dried-balls.html  there are some that are covered in seeds and things.. and others made from curly willow.  I think they would make a great centerpiece for a fall wedding, small-ish ones, just a few in tall glass vase, with some fall leaves scattered on the table and some votive candles in plain little containers.

ooh I thought of those too... like in the bottom of a huge glass cylinder with a few branches sticking out and a few candles around... love it.

Hey, speaking of candles and apples...

Just made me think of you when I saw it. I was looking for that centerpiece I was talking about from Martha Stewart but haven't found it, and saw that candley thing. Stupid Martha Stewart.
I think from now on, I'll refer to her as MS. Or Stupid.

I did the iced branches thing with candles on mirror chargers.

I am also a strong advocate for the crystal bouquetts which could double as centerpiece ideas.  Your choice of color etc.

Congrats
