I finally finished it after what seems like an eternity but in reality was only 3.5 weeks.  It 5 skeins of Elsbeth Lavold Silky Wool, and I used #4 US and #5 US circular needles.  The original pattern is for a men's sweater so I did a lot of modifications in order to get it to work for a woman, mainly waist shaping, and the use of moss stitch instead of garter.  I love the way it turned out!

This is a gorgeous take on the original, and it looks very flattering on you.

I'm curious, though: why moss stitch? Is it something to do with altering it to your body (ie: the garter stitch didn't give you the right gauge) or just a personal preference?
