I have 2 fab new quilts to show off! Let me say, right off the bat, neither of these were made by me. I got married in September, I got both of these as presents and had to share.

The first one is made by my mom and grandma. It has some fabrics I picked out when I was visiting last year Christmas. Then they added stuff from their stashes, as well as some others from their fave quilt stores. It was all machine quilted, but it turned out beautiful! This picture kind of does it justice.

Here is mom giving my hubby a hard time on day #1 of being married. Im glad they both have a sense of humor. But more important, you can see how BIG it is!

Here is the boy and dog enjoying the quilt at home.

And a detail of the backing/quilting.

The other quilt is way different. Mom did hers in unisex colors. This one was all in pastels and whites and done by hand by my great-grandmother specifically for my wedding day.

The best part about getting this quilt? My great grandma died ten years ago, so it was like having her back.

Anyway, hope all of you enjoy the quilts!

They're both so beautiful!  I especially love the second one.  What a fantastic way to hold on to the memories of someone you loved.

Honest to god, the second quilt brought tears to my eyes. You are a very loved and lucky young woman to have two fabulous heirlooms.   Smiley

I almost cried at the wedding when I unwrapped the second one. I knew it was coming, but wow! And I almost cried again typing about it.

The first one is beautiful, I love the colors that were used and the size looks so large.  But the second looks Fabulous (any chance we could see a picture of the whole thing?)

What great keepsakes!
