I used to play this lamp in 6th grade.  Smiley My dad helped me cut the wood from a broken desk and router it for the base.  Its painted black with silver edging.  The shade was given to me as a gift specifically for this project.  It uses night light sized bulbs.  This is by far my favorite project yet because of the sentimental value it holds.  Now I need to repurpose the case.  Wink

Haha.  Well, it no longer functioned as an instrument.  Not even a squeak would come out of it.  Its an old, old wooden clarinet.

I love this!  It makes me want to buy all the old instruments I see just so I can turn them into lamps!  (I have a flute from the 6th grade as well... but I don't think I could get the nerve up to turn it into a lamp, since it still works)
