i love the blanket idea!   or maybe a towel if i don't have enough.  now that you mention it, i've heard about people doing that for boy scouts.  i think my mom talked about doing it for my brother. 
but maybe i'll keep some of the off it and use them for specific things- like i think i probably earned a child care badge- and that would be cute on a baby bib.     i just have to find all the vests first..
