Faerie Clothes?

Hello,

(I posted this on a different site also, but I wanted to make sure I've asked a lot of people so I get good results)

I'm new here and I joined with the hopes that one of you lovely people may be able to help me.

I have been searching HIGH and LOW for something to help me, and I even asked on Yahoo! Answers, but no one (so far!) can help.


Does anyone know...of a site...that can help me, or give me ideas (or if any of you have done a project that is similar) on how to create faerie clothes out of fake flowers, real flowers, and other plant materials?

I am making plaques for my sister (who is an avid faerie collector with a whole shrine in a quarter of her living room devoted to faeries) with decoupaged paper as the background, and a sculpted faerie attached, so it is like a 3d picture. Now, for these sculpted faeries...I need to make clothes, I was hoping someone could help me figure out how to make the clothes in the way I described.


All I can find is sites on making costumes for humans, or making paper dolls. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have any sites to suggest but why not just start playing around with different stuff?  Go to the store and look at the silk flowers for ideas.  Don't look at them as a whole thing, look at the petals and leaves.  Rose petals can make lovely skirts, tops, and hats. 

Just get some needle and thread and start sewing things together to see what you like.  After you are happy with the results, you could add a dab of glue to keep it in place.

It has drawings of fairy clothing. It may give you some inspiration on how to construct your clothes using materials from the craft store, fabric scraps or what have you.
