I'm not quite sure this is the proper forum for a gallery of these, and if it's not , please e mail me for directions as to where to put it.
Rocker jackets, denim vests, kutten (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kutten)...anything of the like.

To the untrained person, a jacket or vest like this looks like a hodge podge assortment of junk worn by some hooligan punk, but to the punks who wear them, these jackets carry hours of work on them in each way.

Post pictures, ideas, and awesome stuff revolving around yours!  Show off those hours to your craftster friends!

(To The Tune of "The Llama Song")Here's a needle, there's a needle, and some yarn between the needles, cast on, knit, purl, always knitting, knitty, knitty, purl.

i got married in my beautifully painted / studded jacket about 24 years ago, made the front pages of the papers because gothy / punk weddings were very very unusual then

the jacket lasted much longer than the marriage!

Thats cool about getting married in the jacket.

Sad about the marriage.

Have any pictures that you're willing to share?

I so wish I had photos of the many punk jackets I've worn/embellished over the years. I never thought of them as being art, but more of a way to communicate something about myself to other angsty youth. My best jacket had the cover of Samhain's Initium painted faithfully on the back, the Danzig skull on one arm, the Misfits skull somewhere else, the Dead Kennedy's DK logo, etc.  I gave that jacket to my first girlfriend a week before I broke up with her because I thought it would soften the blow (hey, I was 16, give me a break!), and a couple of years later I asked her if I could have it back and she refused.

How about metal-oriented jackets, rather than punk?  Same look, more or less, just different bands?  I've got a couple of those I could take pix of...

Most definitely post them!!!!!

So i finally took pictures!  They're kinda huge...sorry!
I didn't rotate them either...last time I did that, they made me look fat on all computers except for my friend's iMac.

Flatfoot 56 patch, edged by star studs.

A company called Rockwell Merchandise screened this for me at Cornerstone Music Festival!  I love it!

Front Right lapel!  I just put those in last night!

Swing dancers patch I made.  My BF and I swing dance all the time, so this was necessary!  Sorry its so blurry!

This is the stencil I used.

Big Straight Edge logo on the inside.  The black is just sharpie.

Left front right in my heart.  Pro-Life stuff is important to me...

Under the collar, also lined in sharpie.

Thats my baby!

Oh I love Flatfoot! They're one of my favorite bands and the sweetest boys ever. They're playing here in a coupla weeks, I haven't seen 'em for a while. Now I DEFINITELY need to get my old jacket up here, I kinda grew out of that rebellious dirty punk phase after a couple of years (after swearing up and down that "it wasn't a phase") -  but I'm holding onto that jacket that I worked on for years so I can show my kids someday that they had a crazy mom who used to beat boys up.  Oh my.

My jacket is so heavy from all of the studs, the hanger is bent! I'll get pics of it soonly, this is a great thread Smiley
