Hooray for small projects!  I spent more than a year & a half working almost exclusively on a knitted blanket---it's all short projects for me from here on out!  These 2 were started & completed in the past 2 months:

1. These hunter's mitts are based on a pattern from Green Mountain Spinnery.  The yarn is sock yarn by Trekken, it's a wool/bamboo blend.  The stripes are from yarn in my stash for which the label is long gone....   The mittens were really fun to make & feel great on my hands!

2. This hat is a modified Tychus from knitty.com:  I used only 1 strand of Risata (by Knit Picks), increased the number of short rows in the crown, and increased the number of wedges.  Risata is a sock yarn & I love it!  The bit of elastic that's in it makes for a great-fitting hat.  My next project is to make socks with it.

By the way, I'm not as cranky in real life as I look in that picture...

Thanks for looking!
