Have you ever made chocolate covered fruit before? It's so simple and delicious.
Basically you melt the chocolate (careful not to burn it!) and mix in a little shortening for smoothness.
Dip your fruit and let the chocolate harden. Here in FL that means putting it in the fridge for a few minutes.

It's sooooo yummy.
Today I did cherries and clementine wedges.

Enjoy!

Also... you can dip anything. Cookies, marshmallows, pretzels, nuts, graham crackers, whatever.
Try different kinds of chocolate, and drizzle with a contrasting one (Like, if I had drizzled these with white chocolate...how pretty would that have been?)

Yum!

We've got a ton of clementines and a huge block of melting chocolate that I forgot about. I'm going to have to make some tomorrow!

Muffin, definitely do... it's SO yummy. The clementines are neat because they kind of burst in your mouth when you bite them.

About 6 yrs ago I started covering stuff with chocolate.... I love chocolate-covered-almost-anything! We usually do pretzels and marshmallows every winter for gifts. Smiley

It's milk chocolate, but I think dark would've been amazing... at least with the cherries. I'm a dark chocolate girl, but milk was really great with the clementines.
