I'm thinking of maybe a lamp or something like that. Anyone know where I can find a tutorial? the only thing wrong with the blender is that the glass broke on the bottom, by the seal. (I didn't find out until I tried to make a strawberry milkshake, which promptly coated me and the whole kitchen.)
So... any cool ideas? I'm leaning towards the lamp idea, but I'm open to suggestion.

the pitcher part could make a cool lantern, if you got one of those bulb kits...

Yeah, I was thinking that. I could get some glass paint and put some cool designs on the pitcher, or not. It'd look cool either way.
I've also got a broken toaster. If anyone has any ideas for that, I'd love to hear them!

When Dinner and a Movie used to be on TV, I always loved that they kept a goldfish in a blender.

i actually gutted the insides of the bottom of a blender, then broke out the bottom of the pitcher. i then installed a  lamp kit, and strung the cord out of the bottom. i love it! if you don't want to go the lamp kit route, then you can also use tube lights or christmas lights the same way.

A lamp kit is a great idea!!! I think I'll have to try that one.

If you want to have a bundle of x-mas lights (which is an adorable idea) you should go with the rope type. I think it's a fire hazard to have the regular type of xmas bulbs in a blob or ball. Whatever x-mas lights you use, it would look cool if they were taped around the glass (inside or outside) to look like a spiral or stripes. The tape wouldn't show when it was on.

If you want to go the extra-lazy route, either the blender or the toaster would make a nice unique quirky vase (You would stick flowers in the toast holes) lol
