thats what I always tell people inquiring about the swap, I think it cuts waaaay back on the swap anxiety cause people are choosing the things they like.  Not as much of a surprise as a regular swap but I know I for one have gotten some fantastical things that are beyond my forte (or way down on my long list of crafts to try/do).  sigh....I love this swap Smiley  I was looking thru the box of embroidery patterns today (the boys got it at an auction, full of 1950's stuff!) and found a bunch of dress patterns as well!!  I LOVE those mid century dresses so I think I'm going to see if I can't sew one up.  Then I can dress up in my heels and pearls and clean the house Wink  I may put the remainder bunch of embroidery patterns up in my shop, some have been cut but theres lots left to use.  Mostly florals and bigger motifs (for tablecloths and pillowcases I think)

I got PurpleHeather's yarn in the mail today, and immediately wound it with the new ball winder i got, I didn't know how soft it was until i pulled it out of the package.

I'm really surprised that the yarn arrived at all, cuz on the front where my address is, was the address all smudgy and faint and faded.  it seems like purple heather wrote it with those white board markers, and it was about to be wiped off.  But no worries, it  made it to my mailbox ok.

she also included cadbury chocolate.  I've been on a recent chocolate eating habit, so i was real happy to get it, PLUS cadbury from over there is much better than the cadbury chocolate that we get here in the US.  It's a good thing it's cold because the candy was opened when i took it out of the bag, but since it's been cold lately, nothing was melted.  I didn't care that it was open though, cuz i'm sure it was just from the rustle and bustle of the postal handling.

I also love the simple card she included, i might take off the button and put it to use on something.

Thanks purpleheather!!
