Here is the afghan I made for my soon-to-be-born neice, for Christmas. I chose really bright rainbow colors because all of the experts say that bright colors stimulate babies' minds better than pastels. Anyway, here's a piccy of it. Smiley

Have old jeans, pillowcases, or t-shirts? I'll take them! I'm also always looking for the sleeves to women's long sleeved shirts!

You should post it in the color craft along. This month's color is "all the colors of the rainbow."

I love this rainbow version, it is so bright and cheerful!  Someday maybe my crocheting will look all nice and even like that and not like a third grader did it.  I suppose I'll just have to be more patient and work at it.

There is a great star blanket tutorial here:

Although, being a beginner myself I'm saving that for after I've managed to successfully complete at least a couple more hats and scarves...

That is gorgeous! I bet it wraps up nicely as bunting also. Beautiful.

I've been crocheting for about 15 years now...trust me, it all comes with practice & time, practice obviously being the more important part. Just keep trying! I'm sure you can do it!!

After I read that, I was like "oh my gosh it does!" I was totally ga ga over Rainbow Brite when I was a little girl. Now I'm determined to make my daughter be Rainbow Brite for Halloween this year. haha
