Thanks so much! Cheesy  I think I'm going to try to make some clay "specimens" so that I can store them in liquid. I don't think I'll have time to experiment with fake liquids for this guy, but maybe when I make another (I definitely need one for myself).

i LOOOOOVE IT!!!  it is cute, it is creepy (creepy as ....), PUUURFECT combination! now you HAVE to change the jar.  the cat is way toooo special to go in that jar.  try to make it a lil more sci-fi-ish, a lil tared down, as if you had stolen it from a bizzarro museum.
Agreed, I absolutely need to look for a new jar. I have better ones, but they're all the wrong size. Maybe make a specimen label or tag for it too.

What a weird fascination... although I must admit, before this, I was looking at parasitic and conjoined twins so I guess a lot of people are fascinated by "oddities"
Absolutely. I love reading about medical curiosities, sideshow performers, etc. (I'm working on making a wearable parasitic twin for a costume.) It was a little surprising coming from Karla, just because she doesn't usually like stuff like that.

Thanks. Smiley

Update: I think he looks much better in his new home, which used to store my  zippers. I couldn't resist getting a bit silly and setting up a little "photo shoot".

The label is tea dyed. It reads "No.: 6709, Scientific name: Felis silvestris catus, Common name: House cat, Locality:(left blank), Notes: Diprosopus" (means craniofacial duplication).
Here's a link to the label, in case anyone might find it useful. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b162/krissy-kat/specimenlabels-1.jpg

So freaking cute! It's creepy, but it's not incredibly wrong. Your friend may be odd, but inside jokes are quite fine.
