My husband has been sick so we had to cancel our plans last night.  We stayed in and while he was miserable on the couch, I made an apron.

Bummer you couldn't go out,
but that apron turned out dandy.
I love the colors, it seems fun.
I'm sure you'll get some good cooking done this year.   Wink

that looks great! I stayed in and sewed last new years eve... I think it would have been better for my health if I'd done the same this year!

Hey, my spouse and I were both sick for New Year's too  Sad  We're just trying to convice ourselves that spending New Year's Day at the Urgent Care Center means our year can only get better!

Can you tell me how you got such a beautiful corner on the binding where the "up/down" binding meets the "around the waist" binding?  I have a pillowcase that I want to recon into an apron and I was thinking of almost that same exact shape - but just can't quite figure out that corner.

Thanks.

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

You will have such an awesome year compared to spending New Year's Eve in Urget Care!  I hope you're both feeling better!

The corners are pretty easy, I just carried the vertical binding down 1/2 inch past where the side panel would connect but left that 1/2 inch open. Then after I sewed the horizontal binding onto the side panel I pinned the side panel in place to the main piece and tucked it under the 1/2 inch opening, then stitched it down starting from the last 1/2 inch of the horizontal binding.

I hope that makes sence, and assuming it did then I hope that helps!
