Wowww... another year!

Smiley  Cheesy  Grin This swap gallery is intended as a way to recognize all the wonderful personal swaps that are done in this community!   Grin  Cheesy  Smiley

Personal swaps are not encouraged or supported by Craftster.  This is only a thread to post pictures from your personal experiences.  Personal swaps are not and cannot be tracked in Swap Feedback on profiles and should not be linked to Craftster's Organized Swaps in any way.

Folks who have participated in a personal swap and wish to share pictures of the items they have sent and received may do so by posting in this gallery.

Please note that this gallery is meant for those who have had a good experience with their personal swaps!  This is not the place to air your grievances about being "flaked" on...please keep it positive and give love to those awesome personal swappers! Wink

Each month a new gallery will be started.  If you have received from a personal/private swap, within the month, feel free to post pictures here!   Grin

Or browse previous galleries...

Yaay I get to be the 1st this year to share my wonderful Craftster experience with everyone.  Grin

Ok So I saw Katxena's glorious  postage stamp WIP quilt and contacted her to offer some different coloured & patterned cotton pieces.  She very kindly offered to send me a few things in return. While we chatted I mentioned that I had thought about trying ATC's but hadn't because I had so much other crafting stuff to do.

To my amazement this package arrived to today:

My very own ATC Starter kit! Complete with a Beginners Guide to ATC's, several prepared backing pieces, an ATC design frame, and lots of samples of text, papers, images and cut outs - and everything is neatly labeled. Not only that but she post-stalked me (her own words) and chose colours and themes she knew I would like! She also threw in one of her favorite crochet patterns and a note on the differences between UK and US crochet terms.

Lastly she also sent me a Katxena Original ATC (see top left, inside the note card) - which I think is really cool.

I have made a promise to myself that the 1st ATC I make (that Im proud of) will be sent 1st class to Katxena.

Thank you so much Kat's -you rock  Grin

SerialCrafter and I arranged a personal swap.

I knit the socks with Kraemer superwash wool that I had hand-dyed.

These slippers were knit with recycled yarn from an Abercrombie and Fitch sweater coat.

She made me this corset in return!  I asked for a nice, lightweight fabric because it's hot in Texas, you know.  The eyelet is perfect!  It fits me so nicely...the model shown here is smaller around than I am, so I had to use a clothespin to keep it on the stand, but there was NO WAY I was going to model it for the photo shoot!  LOL

MANY thanks to you, K!  It was so great swapping with you!

This is my first posting in the personal swap area. I just did a personal swap with cupcakeaccessories

I don't believe she's received mine as of yet but I received from her today.
2 wonderful charm bracelet's, one for my daughter and one for our foreign exchange student and as an extra surprise cupcake made me an adorable miniature cupcake out of polymer clay with a heart charm that I have on my cell case now.

Thank you so much cupcake and I hope your purse arrives soon!

I received a wonderful package of fabric from bushbaby -- I'm going to use these in my postage stamp quilt.

I love the pig fabric the most!  Smiley  She also sent a magazine about Scotland, some candy, and packaged everything beautifully with a pretty ribbon and card.  Thanks bushbaby!

cupcakeaccessories I'm so glad it arrived and you like it! I see you already changed out the ribbon too! I was't sure if you'd like the black but it matched that funky liner.
The girls LOVED their bracelet's! Thanks for a wonderful personal swap.

So I did my first personal swap today.  Smiley  Maremare312 and I met at a local Starbucks to swap items!  It so much fun meeting new, local crafters!  I traded her some prints of my photography and got some awesome stuff in return!  She used her super-duper crochet skills and made me:

some Mary Jane slipper for my 3 year old, who loves them:

The cutest cowboy booties for my son, no action shot because he is still not a due for a few weeks:

and a calorimetry for me!:

I have been dying for one of these!  It has been so cold here in Portland the last few weeks, now my ears can stay all toasty!

I am so glad that we swapped Maremare, thank you so much!  Not only did I get some great stuff but I made a new friend.   Grin

I made a wonderful swap with Loves2 experiment Grin

I sent her a portrait I painted of her sister's children, and she sent me an unbelievably beautiful and perfect wallet she custom designed for me! Grin

I can't stop looking at it! I received it today and within seconds had transferred all my essentials to it! Just look at the cute birdie fabric!:D

I need to carry my passport around so she designed the wallet around that. I have a large central pocket to hold my passport, with my Bonobus card in front for easy access Cool 4 card pockets which have a large note pocket behind. Then on the back I have a change purse, which is even big enough to hold my phone when I'm all out of pockets!

Can you tell I'm happy? Cheesy Thank you for a wonderful swap Loves2experiment! Grin

Here is a pic of the 8x10 black and white photos klum78 swapped with me! She took them herself. I had tried to "win" them in the silly santa swap, but lost out, so she kindly offered to do a personal swap with me! And I'm so glad we did, we live in the same town and it was really fun to meet up. I am so excited to get some colorful mats for my pics and decorate (I'm moving to a new place in the next couple months!) I think there are better pics of the pics in her swap shop.

She also gave me a really cute crochet pattern to make an elephant, my oldest nephew loves elephants so I will have give it a go!

Thanks so much klum78!

I would like to thank thelittlestninja for being such a generous Craftster.

I contacted her after seeing a stocking she had made posted here, to ask where she had found the amazing fabric it was made of:

She very nicely said that she had found it at her local fabric store - but she had a large bit left and I could have it if I wished.

I havent found the right project for this yet (my husband and I have a private joke about blue penguins) but I will soon.  Grin

In return I sent her an assortment of beads and mixed paper ephemera.
