OK, so my resolution is not to buy anymore yarn untill I use up what I have, so I was thinking of making a big scrap afghan, would that count?

We'd like you to craft something to help you reach your goal.  Here are some examples Leah provided... Smiley
Quote
  • How about a beautifully decorated inbox and outbox to help keep on top of the endless paperwork in life?
  • Is your resolution to do more crafting? Make a calendar with your crafting goals that you want to achieve!
  • Trying to stop smoking? Maybe a handmade punching bag?! Tongue

Whatever it is you want to try to do better or differently in 2008, craft something to help reach that goal!

(Based on questions that have been coming in, I want to clear up that this challenge is meant to be something you make that helps you achieve any resolution or anything you want to do better at in 2008. So if one of your resolutions is to make a certain craft project in 2008 -- like to knit a sweater -- that in and of itself doesn't really fit the theme. But as an example perhaps instead you could create a calendar that helps you accomplish that sweater and can be used for other projects you want to have stay on track!)

I'd love to join, but I don't know what to craft to help my New Years Resolution suceed.  Undecided I'm not 100% sure if i'll join.

ooh!  Care to share your resolution?  Maybe we can help!

That's such a good idea!  It totally makes you feel more accountable once you share them/post them publicly, too.

Hey, if people are looking for resolutions, and this applies, a good one might be to talk less on your cell phone when you are driving!  I just saw a scary TV show on the subject.  I'm not sure what you would craft however, but someone on this thread probably has a good idea... maybe a fun cell phone case that says Hands Off or is impossible to open while driving??

WHATTTTT?!?!?!?!?! Is ILLEGAL in UK to talk on mobile phone whilst driving. imagine if you smoke as well. Some stupid woman doing both (ie NO HANDS ON THE WHEEL) crashed into us doing that. Maybe like nicotine gum in an easily reachable bag in the car for if you're a smoker, or decorate up a hands-free bluetooth device with sparkles or something.

farbinkie I think this would be a great resolution for anyone who smokes or talks on the phone in their car!!

Ooh! my resolution is to get rid of my yarn stash. I'm gonna make a funky hoodie/sweater type thing with all my leftover yarn. I probably won't get it done by the deadline, but this gave me a good idea, and i'll have fun making it anyway.
