does anyone want something crocheted or sewn possibly? and if so what kinds of things would you like made for you? i wanna try and get an idea of how long it would take if i'm going to join

I wanted to learn/receive crochet. I sew, knit and cross-stitch.
ETA: I also wouldn't mind a fun pattern for something I already do. So I'm easy I guess Smiley

I just wandered off to my wist and it seems I have an affinity for crochet frogs - wonder where that came from.
It just seems crochet is more adaptable for making "goofyness" - I mean no disrespect what so ever - it is just that it seems like you have less annoying piecing together of parts if you are making small animals or flat cat coasters.
I bought the One skein wonder book without checking that the one thing I really wanted to make (the bathmat) wasn't crochet.

I have both books now and I really like them. But I went crazy when a LYS was closing and spent $65 on 70% off yarn (so you can imagine how big that bag was) and so I had a lot of just one skein to play with.
If you can do both knit and crochet I think it is totally worth the price. I like it because of the variety and it is organized by yarn weight (something I wish knitty would do).
