would anybody be interested in joining me for a mermaid glove-along?
for those of you who haven't heard of them, mermaid gloves are fingerless gloves, based on an alteration from cookie a.'s pomatomus pattern. there have been several versions of these floating around the internet, such as
craftaholic's:

I would love to, but I have never knitted before.  How difficult would this pattern be to learn on?   Sad

actually, most of the pattern is a twisted ribbed stitch.  if you can knit through back loop, purl, yarn over, and knit together through back loop, you can do this pattern.  i was super-intimidated too, but it's turning out to be a fairly easy knit.
