Vintage Voodoo Doll Costume (img. heavy)

I was inspired by this dress (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=146186.0) a couple years ago, and in my quest for another awesome halloween costume I came up with the idea of voodoo doll.  Although that sounds kind of ugly and uninteresting, I mixed it with a vintage 40's sort of look for a somewhat sexy voodoo doll like appearance!

That's great, really imaginative. I like how you coulda done 'slutty voodoo doll' (like the way most ppl think of a costume idea like being a cat, cheerleader, policewoman etc and then make it slutty) but you did 'classy voodoo doll' instead which looks fantastic!!

thanks guys! yeah people at school loved it and went crazy when I told them I made it.  Alot of people got it but some thought way to hard or just thought it was killed by love/a broken heart.  Some people were severely creeped out by the pins and were positive I was being stabbed in the boob whch was funny.  Also girls in my spainish class and the french foregin exchange student from photography wanted pictures of me!! so that was fun and I'm really glad I did it

Great execution of a clever idea!  I've been making voodoo dolls (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=210006.msg2250561#msg2250561 & http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=216068.msg2323503#msg2323503), but it never occurred to me to make myself into a voodoo doll!  Bookmarked!  The Xs over your eyes are brilliant!
