Just keeping cardigan on the current page.

I claim igobylorib for a pin cushion and scraps of fabric.
This is my first claim.

I live in New Zealand, Im 17 and work part time in a really funky cafe, Im addicted to tattoos and piercings and pieces of paper I find on the ground. My favourite colours are yellow, brown and grey. I like really out there stuff, espiecally when its made especially for me! I love disney, zombies, fairys, spiders, kids toys, artist naked bodies and those retro ladies with funny quotes by them(Huh)

A Stuffie
Something weird, but cuddley.

Stretchy Fabric
With a bright funky print. Enough to make a pair of leggings out of.

Knitted Socks
Nice soft colourful socks. Mmm.

Jewellery
Maybe a nice chunky ring, or a resin pendant necklace or bracelet? Please, no earrings, they make my ears go crazy

Yummy Homemade Beauty Products.
Maybe a nice exfoliating soap or a yummy tasting lip balm. Or even a kit to make my own!

Books
Old paperback novels with cheesy/funny/cute covers that are in resonably good condition, (or even just the front and back cover torn off neatly to save on postage!)

Candy
American or British, stuff thats special to your country. No chocolate or penut butter please.

Crochet hat.
In black. Ask for ideas on how Id like it. =)

A singlet/tank top.
Do anything you want to it, stencil, applique, rip it up and sew it back together, whatever it is you do. I really like those bleached ones with the skeleton on them? Message me for other ideas!

i claim cardigan for something fantasicly Fairies!

this is my 4th claim with 1 recieved, and 3 (yes including this claim) ready to ship

now about me:
i am a 25 year old mother of 3 and married to a big child (31 going on 5). i live in a tiny little dot on the map clgate, saskatchewan canada. i'm closer to the us border than any large city in my own country. i am a stay at home mom (with 3 under 5 i have to) i have crafting ADD . . . i have a new obsesion weekly it seems. i have sewn since i was kid (granny taught me) i also crochet (the other granny taught me as a kiddo) i recently learned to knit and then promptly cheated and bought a knitting machine. i dye yarn on occasion, i can cross stitch (havn't in years though), i've dabbled in scrapbooking, and stamping, and card making, and paper quilting, embroidery (hand and machine), needle felting, stained glass, jewlery making, see where the ADD kicks in lol. these days i mostly crochet or sew. i am really wanting to learn spinning (my husband is thrilled about that *rolls eyes*)

I am new to the whole wist thing so I dont have much in/on it but there are pics of bags I like, and kids toys I like
http://www.wists.com/1boy1gir1bitty2

i like almost any colour  but love muted brights or earth tones

*GINORMOUS BIG WISH* my purse/bag is starting to crap out on me and i just don't have the patience to make a new one at the moment. not overly picky except for size. it needs to fit a couple of diapers, mini wipe case, baby sleeper, wallet, keys, phone and zipper not a necessity

books and magazines: used is awesome!
-any crochet books or mags (how to's and or patterns)
-any quilting books or mags (i have a couple pm me for what i have)
-beginner knitting books or mags
-romance novels (especially about pregnancy)
-fantasy/sci books

supplies:
-pocket knitter like this one http://www.bond-america.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=6&category_id=2
-yarn (i havn't tried soy, hemp, corn, silk)
-would love a soft cotton yarn to make face cloths out of
-handyed yarns are always nice
-hand spun yarn
-roving dyed or undyed
-amy butler pattern used is awesome (make sure all peices are there though)
-safety eyes for my toy making
-skin tone knit fabric
-white or cream suede cloth (i make my baby's diapers)
-handbag/purse handles
-size 16 poly resin snap sets for a kam press in all colours (from thesnapstore.com)
the nearest craft supply store is 2 hours away so anything to feed my current obsession would be nice and appreciated

crafted items:
-knitted socks for me or any of the members of my clan (pm me for sizes)
-toys - with all the recalls lately i'm switching out their toys for handmade with NO LEAD PAINT a possibility of being near them
-my son (2 y/o) likes cars or a boy doll would be nice
-my Odd (6 y/o) has a play kitchen so play food would be cool, or doll cloths for her babies
-Ldd (3 mns) rattles, texture toys, baby things
-mitts in blues and blacks to match my coat
-handmade book/journal
-oversized hobo style bag (crocheted would be nice)

kits:

I claim 1boy1girl1kitty2 for play food for her daughter. This is my 4th claim this round; 1 received, 2 in transit.

My name's Bea and I live in a pretty small town in England. I recently split up with my other half so am absorbing myself in crafting and reading at the moment. I love neutrals, earth tones and realistic looking designs. Dislikes are stuffies/amigurumi (just don't have space for them Undecided), cartoony designs, neons and sequins. Thrifted/vintage things are always welcome at my house.

-Handbound A5 journal - maybe with different colour pages or some plain, some lined?

-I love tea so any non-British varieties would be great. Anything goes other than spicy; herbal fruit flavours are my fav (we don't get 'Celestial Seasonings' here and their stuff is lovely) and I got a taste for iced tea in the US.

-I think these knitting needle bangles are really cool: http://www.wists.com/purplewist/d3cbd927b92805bdab483493fd2c0477?offset=20

-Knit pear jacket, maybe like http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8532509 but it doesn't need to have the leaf detail

-Sewing machine earrings in silvertone or goldtone, or the charms to make my own. (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8634809)

-Any pre-loved TinTin books. I used to have them all as a child and dearly want to re-start my collection.

-A5 (6x9") display folders (the kind with clear plastic pockets inside http://www.ryman.co.uk/Europe-Display-Folder-A5-12-Pocket-0435124364.asp - I'm building a library of scrap fabric.

-Spiderman, Superman or Nintendo fabric

-TimTams from Australia (curious to try them!)

-These sort of interlocking belt buckles http://www.wists.com/purplewist/bb09954adb51b51800f4c7d307c89d2c?offset=20 (so hard to find but I love using them!)

-Black, navy, brown or green cotton jersey fabric (0.5yd+)

-Tape measures - the regular kind - for me to sew together Smiley

-Corduroy fabric in black, navy or green

-Heavyweight iron on interfacing

-Letter stencils (4" or larger like http://shop.kidzcraft.co.uk/prodimages/alphabet_stencils_large.jpg)

-Template plastic (the kind printed with gridlines)

-Always need generic sewing machine needles and/or 'extra strong' sewing thread.

-Pocky from Asia/US Chinatowns - my latest fav thing, I've tried the almond, strawberry and regular chocolate variety but I'm sure there are more flavours waiting to be discovered Wink

I claim purpleone for some celestial seasonings tea and another surprise that i can't tell because it'll ruin a surprise in another swap!

this is my 3rd claim, the other 2 have both been received (I think) - and i'm in Wisconsin

wish list (really big wishes in bold red)!

KNITTED AND CROCHETED THINGS:

a satchel bag like this http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer05/PATTsatchel.html  (bright colors, use up all your felting colors?)

this felted backgammon board (or something similar)  http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/na_knitting/article/0,2025,DIY_14141_5311864,00.html

*** NEW *** a project bag - something to hold the one project, with the yarn, needles, pattern (I suspect my next project is socks)

i love this felted bag - http://www.talklikeapirate.com/knitlikeapirate.html

*** NEW *** the amanda's squatty sidekick purse  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=187674.msg1967806#msg1967806

SEWN THINGS:
a flamenco skirt like this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=3905.msg29436#msg29436

6" pieced squares for my craftster quilt - I'd prefer they not be plain 6" squares of fabric, but the pieced ones?

*** NEW *** a messenger style bag - big enough to hold my projects and all my normal purse stuff?  maybe like one of the necktie bags?

can anyone figure out how to make a shrug jacket like this?  I LOVE this jacket, but this is the only picture I have of it
http://www.wists.com/Dulcinea/7e8bc1ec576c4d291d9c7cd844f89887?offset=40

*** NEW *** a new project bag - yes, i have this in knitted, too - i have a great bag from a swap ages ago, a really big messenger bag - but now, i think i need a slightly smaller one - think a project like socks, so something with space for yarn, needles, project, pattern...

another big wish - the pants from Burda Pattern number 8316 - they're a pair of pants that I love - view A (long, not crops) in the smallest size (and we can talk about sizing) (I can provide pattern and fabric, I just need someone who's a better sewer than I to actually make 'em)

this skirt - anyone think they can find a pattern and make one?  it doesn't need to be so long... mid-calf would be perfect
http://www.shukronline.com/wt3601.html

If anyone loves to sew, I love this skirt!  would love a soft drapey sort of fabric
http://www.garnethill.com/jump.jsp?itemID=12386&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C4477%2C9140%2C9143&iProductID=12386

a shirt like this, but long enough to tuck in - PM for sizing, please
http://www.kambriel.com/topwhite.html

Amy Butler Weekender bag - i'm actually going away for a weekend, and this would be a great bag to pack my stuff in!

SUPPLIES:

hand-spun yarn

hand dyed yarn - worsted or sock weight?

crafting supplies:
  • soap making supplies - coconut oil, a soap making box mold
  • NON-Koolaid dyes for bare yarn
  • hairpin lace loom - as long as it has moron-proof instructions, please
  • chunky weight wool - it's not like thick n quick, and it's not  like regular wool - it's somewhere in between, with a gauge of about 3-4 st. / 1 inch on about #8-10 needles...  anyway, in white, dark blue, forest green, deep purple, chocolate brown, something like that?
  • felting wool - i have a couple of projects that need felting wool, especially greens, purples, reds, both worsted weight and bulky weight - it can be undyed, and i can dye it myself Thank you to poerova, dragonflyducky and everyone else who's sent me some... i think i need to make some stuff to make more space!

OTHER CRAFTED STUFF:

*** NEW *** i think we have a couple of potters - so a bowl, or cups?

a yarn cozy like this?  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=21691.msg176577#msg176577

stained glass pendant or bracelet, especially if it was dragonfly or butterfly or iris

*** NEW *** embellished / stencilled hoodie - dragonflies, irises?  adult size medium (i like them big and comfy)

Knitting and crocheting books - if one of these is just taking up space, I'd love to get a copy:
  • Twinkle's Big City Knits: 31 Chunky-Chic Designs
  • Knit with Beads: Stunning Shawls and Wraps: Easy Techniques, 15 Beautiful Designs
  • *** NEW *** A Gathering of Lace
  • *** NEW *** Knitting Circles Around Socks: Knit Two at a Time on Circular Needles
  • *** NEW ***   Favorite Socks: 25 Timeless Designs from Interweave

Whatever you're really good at - my wist, and my list, are a good indication of the sort of things I like - if there's something you're really good at, and you think I might like it, feel free to plan a surprise - truly, when people make things in friendship, they're received that way, too

something inspired by my wist  http://www.wists.com/Dulcinea  (I got yelled at that I hadn't added anything lately, so added over 30 new things to my wist)

devil dogs!!  I'm always wanting devil dogs! (if you don't know what they are, you probably can't get them by you)  and thanks to Kerstin and Leah for sending me some!

*** NEW *** If outside the USA - coffees/sweets from your neck of the woods

and if i stall out the swap, someone yell at me, and i'll add more stuff.

... right... about me.  I'm the REALLY old lady in the crowd (even older since my last b'day, but i haven't hit 50 yet!), the one peering over the bifocals.  The one who may have managed to tear up my shoulder by knitting too much.  I have 1 teenager at home, and my day job is a computer programmer.  I have no allergies except MRI dye and a couple of antibiotics,  no issues with animal products, would prefer to avoid religion/religious articles and politics at all costs.... my favorite colors are the jewel tones, think ruby, sapphire, emerald... i don't do terribly well with pastels.  We live in an apartment, where space is always at a premium... so small things that sit on tables and shelves and don't do anything except collect dust aren't a great thing here.

Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses me

Crafted Items:

BIG WISH! This can be Crafted or Purchased. I'd like one in blue - http://www.lakeside.com/details.asp?I=ZSO&N=36+461&Nao=37&R=2539&product=Childrens-Zippered-Storage
A wipe off rewards chart that is maybe magnetic too so I can reward my son for good behavior/ potty training.

A nice jewelry box that has storage where you can hang necklaces in it (crafted out of wood and preferably stained a cherry wood color). This can either be a crafted or a bought item. I'll post a link for an example if requested as I'm trying to find a nice one.

Pyramid studs & Plaid purse (a plain black purse or maybe some cute retro circle print would be great like this too but I really like this plaid material): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=55325.0

This can be crafted or bought. I'm not a huge fan of the color of this one though. I'd like a black or a purple one preferably. http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/073633.html
I'd like this http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/074074.html

One of these or something similar would be great as I have a large yarn stash and its all stuffed in my sewing desk. http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/074080.html

This would be nice for knitting on the go! http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/085525.html

I would love this (please PM me for sizes & colors) http://www.burdastyle.com/creations/show/1447

This would be SO cute! I would love this in these colors http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/344921.html

BIG WISH! Hanging Star Candleholder (more than one if you want to) (I really like the colors pictured for these but other colors would be okay too - please PM me) - http://cgi.ebay.com/Hanging-Star-Tea-Light-Candle-Christmas-Lantern-Green_W0QQitemZ140175499495QQihZ004QQcategoryZ10935QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem - Thanks bkrenning4! More are always welcome!

SUPER BIG HUGE WISH! If you are a master of the sewing machine (I'm not!  ) I'd love for someone to make this. My best friend is not feeling well as she has some health issues so this would be a fantastic pickmeup for her! A cute purse with some sort of Irish theme for my best friend who loves Ireland and has a purse obsession. 4-leaf clovers or the word Ireland on something is usually what she likes the best. Maybe a green cordorouy purse with Ireland on it or something like that. PM me for ideas!

The amigurumi butterfly girl shown here - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=206251.msg2202969;topicseen#msg2202969

I would love one of these (in black & with the oriental theme would be nice) - http://www.lanternmoon.com/SNC.asp

I would totally love this and I would like be your best friend forever (or something like that) if you made this for me! Stained glass Union Jack (this would be great to hang in my window) - http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6311151

Id love just the British Charm (I love this too!) http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6732827

A black messenger back with retro circles on it. Please PM for other colors and possibly an example if  I can find one.

A mail/bill organizer or a desk organizer with places to put pens, store paper, etc. Something that has at least a few pockets for mail and pens and is long and magnetic. I was thinking maybe something like the beside caddy looking only longer and with more pockets (or like the wall organizer but smaller and thinner with super strong magnets) If you're interested in making this I can go into more detail if you PM me.

This one can be bought or crafted. If someone knows how to make or would like to buy one - a lapdesk would be wonderful. They sell these for like $10 at Hobby Lobby too if you need to see what they look like. Theres a pic on this link too - If you are wondering what a lapdesk is its this thing (it doesn't need to have a cup holder and just plain material would be fine)...http://img.inkfrog.com/click_enlarge1.php?image=ldparislg_(Small).JPG&username=sharps_container_supply&aid=13168672

Some black and white photographs of old English churches or houses (preferably the ones made of stone or houses with thatched roofs). I know this one is a long shot but I can dream! Just so you get an idea Id like them all to be relatively uniform because I want a set of 3 to 5 to put in a photograph cluster on my wall. Here are a few examples:

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7122617
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7067967

SUPER WISH! Some 3M Brushed Nickel Command hooks that are the size that hold coats. One would be great to start out but I'll ideally need 3 total.

3M command hooks - the large or the medium. I like the designer style the best please. I can never have too many of these things!

A DIY beginner yarn dying kit. A yarn dying how to book would be great too. I love all of these hand dyed yarns that are so beautiful and I'd love to give it a try!

BIG WISH!!! Wallflowers (refills or starter kits) from Bath & Body Works - Any scent is good but just not Fig, Cinnamon or anything spicy or musky smelling. I like the black vanilla rasberry, pink grapefruit, pearberry (anything fruity really) or anything with vanilla the best.

Pearberry lotion or body spray from bath and body works.

My son is 2 years old and he loves anything with Bob the Builder. He also loves trucks and motorcycles.

BIG WISH! A Thomas the Train piggy bank or a Bob the Builder piggy bank. Okay pretty much anything thats a piggy bank that relates to tools, trains, trucks, cars, dinosaurs, monster trucks, Fisher Price little people or anything like that would be fantastic! Oh and if it plays music that would be even better!!!!

BIG WISH! Fisher Price little people sets (my son has the barn, the garage and the ABC school thingie) or the little people by themselves. They can be gently used but new would be awesome!!!

Okay this one is a far out one but I'd really love The Boleyn Inheritance by Philippa Gregory on CD if anyone is done with it and would like to pass it on to me I would be so so so happy!

Sorry Momma, not here to claim you, still no swap spot open.  Darn the sinister attraction of those overseas claims.  Smiley

Just a gentle reminder as the month nears an end, to check the updates back on page one and let me know if anything is wrong.  And please post pictures of what you've received.  Thanks again!

OK, back to CrossStitchinMomma's list...

I claim addicted2 knitting for a mix of things from her wish list, probably some ATC stuff + Swedish candy + glass beads.

This is my fourth claim out of three.  Tongue One is received.  Smiley

I live in Sweden with my boyfriend and four little teletubbies Grin. In about a week the teletubbies will get competition in the form of a little baby, now still in my tummy. Smiley

I am sorry if my list looks very detailed. I am not fuzzy. It's more a case of having some difficulties to express what I mean in English, so the wording might get a bit complex sometimes.  Smiley

Top wishes right now

I know this is a lot to ask for, but if someone wants to make me a baby sling I would absolutely love you!  Cheesy Kiss My baby is due on the 6:th of February, and if someone out there knows how to make a safe and reasonably ergonomical baby sling that would be so great! Extra perfect would be one that you wrap both around your shoulders and around the hips (have really no idea how they work or how you make them, but it seems better for your back to carry the weight on your hips).

I am looking for crafting supplies of different kinds, among others these (that I can't get or have had trouble finding here)...

Lightscribe cds/dvds for me to lightscribe on. Would love different colours! Can't get them here.  Cry

I am looking for fabric that consists of "frames" of some sort with a white inside. Ideal would be images of empty photo frames (if anyone has seen such a fabric, PLEASE tell me where  Smiley), but otherwise maybe just white squares with a border of some other colour around it. I would like to use it to iron-on images in the white sqare and get the effect that the image is framed.

Silver or silver plated/gold plated wire, thinner than 0.4 mm (maybe someone can translate this into American standard?)

Joints for making dolls/teddybears, to fasten arms and legs to make them movable (preferably not too big)

Flat metal things with a loop (preferably silver/gold or silver/gold plated) to fasten on the back of for example a marble to make it into a pendant. Something like this: https://www.rings-things.com/cgi-bin/hazel/hazel.cgi?action=detail&item=49-455-3  Ideally either 10mm or 20mm square, but also interested in other sizes.

Buttons or badges that I can cover with fabric.

book with fun/cute Japanese sewing and/or crochet patterns (when it comes to books it might ne a good idea to ask if I already have the book before claiming  Smiley)

Chunky fun yarn (something that looks a bit different in one way or another).

Strange colour (other than white or transparent) shrinky dinks (I think there is a black kind); I would really prefer the "shrinky dink" brand! Have enough for now, thank you.  Smiley

Crafting/Sewing themed metal charms (like scissors or something, to be used for making jewelry). Holding this for now, since some are on their way. Thank you!  Kiss

Gold plated chain to make necklaces and other jewelry.

Silver plated finger rings with a large plate (1.5-2 cm?) with sides/borders (will try to find a link to make it less confusing) for crafting jewelry.

A kit for some kind of craft I haven't tried yet. Feel free to PM me about that.

Glass thingies, especially ones with holes in them:
http://www.wholesalersusainc.com/hand-glass-shapes-rectangles-holes-40pcs-p-1325.html
Other glass shapes on the same site are also as interesting, and coloured square marbles also... Just different shaped glass thingies to put pictures behind really... and/or coloured ones for rings:

(I already have enough of the "normal" round transparent ones (that you can buy in flower shops (at least here) though.)

Snap buttons of good quality, preferably bigger and/or ones that you "punch" on (rather than sew or fold those little metal clips thingies) (plastic and/or metal)

Magnetic snaps for making bags. Also on their way. Thank you!  Kiss

Handles for making bags Have gotten a few from craftster people. Thank you!  Kiss

Crochet books or magazines with fun new projects (not too traditional stuff). I like "Crochet today". I only have the september-october 2007 issue so far. Please ask me before you send a crochet book, since I have a few (not many) already and might have the one you want to send.

Craft books/magazines in general with fun new projects (not too traditional stuff) (in English or German or with easy-to-follow pictures (well, Swedish is good as well  Cheesy)

Cotton (or at least not too plastic/synthetic looking) lace trim, second hand/vintage is great!

...and some crafted things. For styles and ideas, feel free to check my wist!

Small plates to put used tea bags on. Something that works like these, but maybe another design. I like stylish/funky/cleancut... http://www.desina.se/index.asp?contentpage=products&kategoriid=18 It would be great if they could work as a decoration on the table when not used, maybe stackable ones?

A scarf made out of multi-coloured crocheted flowers (is there a name for it? is it even flowers? you know those colourful round things put together)

Cute/strange amigurumis. I like unusual looking ones. Oh, and I am especially looking for a crocheted Scandinavian lemming. That would be just awesome!  Cheesy (You should be able to get a picture of the Scandinavian lemming if you google it, otherwise I can try to find one.)

A rainbow sock monkey!

SAHD stuff for my boyfriend. I guess I have made it pretty clear now that we're going to have a baby!  Grin My boyfriend is going to be a stay at home dad, and it would be fun with some accessories (t-shirt? diaper bag?...) that just says SAHD in one way or another.

Fun, funky baby clothes (baby due in February!  Smiley) We're not into gender stereotyping, so any colours are o.k. Something knitted would be really cool, but anything goes: appliques, fabric painted, crocheted (maybe comfy shoes/socks?)... Have enough for now. Thank you!  Smiley

A stuffed animal/toy that consists of (bright) yellow and black fields. These are the colours that newborn babies easiest can distinguish between, and I think it's strange that so many babies toys are in shades of light blue/pink and other colours that a little baby has a really hard time even distinguishing from the surroundings. So any design where fields of yellow contrasts against fields of black would be so great! The toy would have to be safe for a newborn baby. Example of good colours: http://ygmpp.en.alibaba.com/product/50393228/51885663/Plush_Toy/Stuffed_Animal_Plush_Bumble_Bee_Toy.html

Felt creatures for my Chrismas tree. We have this white plastic Christmas tree, that is really quite good looking, kind of magical with lights shining. I discovered that it looks even more magical if I let little creatures live on the branches, so for next Christmas I will need more woodland creatures, monsters or something like that to inhabit it. Felt looks good. I guess they could be crocheted as well, little amigurumis. Size maybe somewhere between 1.5" and 3.5". Some creatures to inspire you: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fantastictoys/sets/1630769/ but feel free to use your imagination.  Smiley

Knit/crocheted "lovers mittens" (see my wist)!

And of course anything else from or inspired by my evergrowing wist.

Please no food/candy! and I'm not too keen on batiks
