These aren't the crafts I thought I would do this month but since they are blue (or mainly blue) they fit!  I'm in a lap quilt swap and these are squares I made for other participants.

If I get the other item done, I'll post it as well.

I like the colors on those.  But then again blues and greens are my mainstays.  I had to laugh though because most of the blue items I'm working on this month are quilt related.   Grin

Speaking of which, I better get sewing, or I'll be in trouble! Roll Eyes

I decided to go ahead and post some of my blue crafts now and more if I can finish them on time.

First, some tie-on shoes in denim for a swap.

The pattern is on this site----> http://tissupapers.blogspot.com/2008/06/elle-tie-on-slippers.html but you have to do an enlarged print to the right size.

Next is one of two quilt squares I am making for a 3 generation family quilt.  The pattern is based on a quilt my Great-Grandma made for my brother.  No one had the pattern she used and my brother wouldn't let me borrow his quilt,  Tongue so I took pictures of the square and tried to research it.  Finally I figured it out.  Cool

It is pieced with a little applique thrown in and I love it in this large size.  Let me know what you think...

Oh and sorry for the lengthy post... Undecided

I love the turtle! The piecing is really clever.

Thank you marmota!  I've always been partial to it.  Oh and I finished its the baby turtle block that goes with it.  This turtle was much more difficult as I tend to try to sew through my fingers when appliquing something small.
