marmota-b & Dragon*Fly - technically the previous month's item has to be posted by the 7th of the next month (meaning you have to have purple posted by May 7th). This is just so that we stay together and the posts aren't a total free for all.  However, it's not like it is a challenge where an extra day or two will give you an unfair advantage or something......  I'd rather see cool stuff than follow rules to the letter. If tons of people were to totally disregard the rules that's different than the random person posting a day or two late. Does that make sense?  Huh

Thank you! Yes, it makes perfect sense. And I'm very well aware of the reasons behind the 7 days; normally I try to stick to them, but this time I didn't have much time for my purple (university work & exam period closing in), and I cannot post pictures from university (or at least don't know how to), so I just asked if I can make a little exception this time...
At least now I know very well what I want to do for my metallic, because it's a project half-done for maybe two years, so I have a good reason to finish it and a good chance of finishing it in time. Wink

Well it's not 100% finished but it is purple.  Pale lavender actually (not that you can tell by the picture).  I won't see my friend's little girl to fit it for awhile, so for now it's in limbo.  The top and waist are actually gathered, so I need a model before I attach the straps and weave in the ends.

Seeing the picture, I think I have to edge the bottom with a multicolour frill to go with the straps and waist.  Also washing and blocking are definitely needed.  Cute kids make even the wonkiest clothes look better though.  Smiley

ayayay i posted this in the "favorite color swap" by mistake.  it's all deleted now, though.
just goes to show there is a time of night after which i can't read/think straight...

Purple Pullip

here is my purple contribution, for April (late-ish)

i used three different kinds of ribbon to make an outfit for mini-pullip who is, for the time being, named Amatista.  ok, not very inventive name...
if the colors don't show up right, she is dressed to match her hair and eyes.  so she HAD to have something out of april's color.

please excuse ghosty scanner pic:

here is where i posted this first, longer, over in Dolls/etc. area:

EDIT: woh, i just realized this can go with May as well, because there is a lot of metallic gold-color thread in the skirt.
but i should make something else, too, just because why not.

Ok, I'm going to post both my April and May in the same post, because I managed to make both of them today!

First, for April, I made a pair of drop earrings:

And for May, I made a set of stitch markers:

Hope you like them!

Thanks again. Wink

Greenapples, I love your purple earrings! They look like... hm... something between tasty candy and... eeh... I don't know, I'll have to stick to candy. Cheesy

So here's finally my purple.

Can someone become addicted to headbands? Huh It seems to me I did.
One side is plain purple/violet cotton blend, the other is a lovely silk print. I wish I had more of it (like enough for a summer dress, or at least a blouse), but that's impossible, because as usual with my headbands, it was originally a thrift store necktie. Undecided
