I can't seem to get to sleep tonight, so I'm doing the next best thing - posting projects!

I whipped up a couple of appliqued ties for Christmas gifts this year.  My DH has a cousin that loves to wear neck ties every single day.

Ties are cool (and sort of unorthodox every day wear for a 15 year old), but they could stand to be spiffied up a little.  Both ties were bought for a dollar each.  I also bought a black leather jacket to cut up for the applique material.

Without further ado, here are my lightening bolts and a lone crow.  I'm quite please with them!

That's right.  I don't know how to tie a tie.

tying a tie is so simple once you've done it once or twice. i had to wear one as part of a uniform more than once

You can google it and get some pretty detailed instructions on ties. There are video tutorials too. My roommate and i spent 20 minutes one night figuring it out for a costume I had.

Cool ties too.

I used to have to wear a tie when I worked at the LCBO.  I just loosened and tightened it every shift.  Oh my secret shame Embarrassed

Anywho, I just wanted to thank everyone for the compliments!  Of course, it's always greatly appreciated.

I found each of these for a dollar at my local Sally Ann.  The one with the crow is silk too!

When one of my guy friends saw these posted on my Facebook he thought that I had created a way of wearing a tie for ladies.  I laughed and just said that I had no idea how to tie one properly.

People who take time to be alone usually have depth, originality, and quiet reserve.

He's missing his liver. That's how some kids react to the cafeteria food. The lucky ones.
