So, I was thinking about what to make my friend Nathan for Christmas, and I decided that he deserved to get a hat, because he has a very weird hat collection (it includes bears and a lobster). I saw this post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=203203.0 and was inspired by its cuteness. My version of it came out a little lopsided in the horns, but it just makes it unique.

Thanks for looking!

Ah-freaking-dorable!
I love it.
How long did it take?
I've been thinking of learning to crochet.
is this a very difficult project?

I'm addicted to DDR. I need a 12-step program.

Great hat! Do you have a picture of his collection?

But we have flamethrowers. And what this indicates to me, it means that at some point, some person said to himself, "Gee, I sure would like to set those people on fire over there. But I'm way too far away to get the job done. If only I had something that would throw flame on them."

EmBem - It didn't take me that long at all. It probably took about an hour total to make. The extras took about as long as the beanie part of it, because they didn't want to come out right, and I wasn't working from a pattern. It really wasn't that hard to make, just a beanie, then the horns I made amigurumi-style (in rounds) and the ears I made in two parts and sewed together. And thanks for the HP compliment, the hat is being modeled on a glass vase that I have sitting there, but that is basically my HP shrine.

Orrkid - At the moment I don't have a picture of his collection, but I can get one once I go back up to school in a couple of weeks!

WIPs - thanks!

Wow, I want a hat like that! Do you mind if I steal the idea and knit one?
