My grandmother, whom I always called Nanny, passed from this world the day after Christmas. She was a very important person in my life, she had helped raise me, and I have always lived close to her.  I wanted to do a piece for her, I know she would like it.  Just thought I'd share it here too.  I am going incorporate into a quilt I am planning.

That is beautiful, and I am so sorry for your loss. I call my grandma Nanny too and she raised me mostly as well.  Nanny's are wonderful people.

I'm sure she would be so proud of you. This is a beautiful way to remember someone close to you. Please be sure to post pictures of the quilt when you finish it. I bet it will not only be beautifully done but full of emotion as well.
