Swap name: Menstrual Care Package Swap - 3
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: sin esperanza
Sign-up date range: 1st January to 16th January

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO

All ages allowed?: Yes.  However, If you're under 18 please make sure that 1. your caregivers are okay with you participating 2. you have access to the internet to keep in regular contact 3. you have sufficient funds to make a good package and to ship it 4. You have access to a camera and are able to take photos of what you make and receive 5. you're not going to get grounded in the middle of the swap and flake on your partner!

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES

Details of swap:

You know how you feel that week (menstruating, bleeding, hanging out with Aunty Flo).  Whether you feel like the earth mother or like you're being punished for something horrible you did who knows when, this swap is for you!  If you can't beat it.... celebrate it!!

This swap is all-inclusive for cloth pad/disposable pad, tampon/diva cup etc wearers.  I'll try to match like types up.  The package must include one large, one medium and one small crafted item as well as one non-crafted item.  Of course this is negotiable with your partner... but in general the package you make should include:  stuff specific to your partner's "hygeine" preferences,  maybe a pad/tampon/cup carrying bag, and some kind of exciting surprise.  Cramp relief, treats for craves... be creative!  Maybe a cloth pad partner would like a new pad?

I'll try to include questions that make for good matches, but I encourage you to contact each other after you know who your partner is. This should be a flexible, interactive, tailored swap.

Additional Rules:
1. I reserve the right to refuse anyone who has sent late/has poor communication in previous swaps.
2. You must check in twice each week to confirm you are alive and kicking and still in the swap.
3. If you are sending within USA you must provide a DC number.  If you're sending internationally you must scan a copy of your receipt and send it to me.
4. If you send late I will be mentioning it in your feedback.  Please send on time.
5. Please ensure you take photos before you send and have access to a camera to post photos of what you receive.
6. Please check your schedule/diary to make sure you can fit this swap in.  I do not want anyone to be flaked on.  Of course, shit happens... in which case I expect immediate communication with your partner and me
.

a diva cup is a small silicone cup that you insert into your vagina to collect the menstrual fluid. some women swear by them, i think they sound kind of weird. also called a moon cup.

diva cups are fabulous. i've been using sea sponges since i was 13 or so, i just couldn't get comfortable with tampons, all those chemicals and bleach. yuck!

I would loooove to do this swap.  I'm doing the inchies swap too so once I get a little further on that one, if time permits, I will sign up for this one too.  If you're on the fence (like I was) check out the galleries for the previous two swaps, they are so lovely!

Shiny swap... I have limited time ahead but sign ups end close to the end of my busy period =) I'll wait for a bit to make sure I can fit it in before signing up. I do have a "late with communication" status, but I hope I can still sign up.

Diva cup, moon cup, lunette and keeper are just different brands of menstrual cups. They can be silicone or rubber and the stem has different length. They work better than tampons for me and I like the fact that I don't have to buy disposable pads very often. I manage fine with my cup and cloth pads. It's all a matter of preference, cups still have the theoretical risk of TSS just like tampons. Not everyone likes to have to clean and mess around with cup/pads just to save some bucks/save the enviroment/save their vagina/whatever reason they have.

Cup socks anyone? I've seen really cute knitted ones...
