OMG!  I love how the in-progress starts so casually with "First we used a plasma cutter to cut out the numbers".  Holy moly that's awesome to have access to and the guts to try it!  I think it's awesome that you did all the steps to make them really nice looking and durable.  You guys and your project rock!

So cool!

I have massive tool envy, y'all.  I've always wanted to be power tool competent.  *sigh*

Reminds me of stuff from those other SF area toolwonks -- the Mythbusters!

Great job! I love the linear sort of look to the 6 - it's not all smooth like you'd expect. And you've managed to avoid a pet peeve of mine - house numbers that are impossible to see from the street! These are quite visible. I love these - if I lived in a house, I'd have you make some for me!

But we have flamethrowers. And what this indicates to me, it means that at some point, some person said to himself, "Gee, I sure would like to set those people on fire over there. But I'm way too far away to get the job done. If only I had something that would throw flame on them."

Those look great!  If only you could see such artful designs everywhere instead of the boring old same stuff.  It's awesome that you know how to work all the machinery to craft something like that, fantastic job!
