Depending on the days events and my mood, I either sit and watch tv (mostly Animal Planet) or I listen to the radio on my mp3. It's kinda distracting with the radio because they only play songs for about 8-10 min. and then there's commercials. They're annoying  Angry

I'm only a beginner, but I usually knit at night to whatever tv my husband is watching. All goes well until I lose my place or drop a stitch. On a bad night I get the comment - Are you sure you're having fun?

I listened to Grapes of Wrath on book tape. That is just the right size for a big project or a bunch of small ones. I talk to my hubby or watch TV. Don't knit while movies are on for some reason. I also like to listen to cheesy 70's music and modern trip rock. And the Kingston Trio.
