I listen to This American Life podcasts while I knit!  Unless I'm reading complicated instructions, in which case I listen to music.

I generally listen/watch TV (mostly discovery channel, animal planet, or a movie) while I'm knitting, but I also read a lot. I got a couple of great bookstands online (here and here), so I can sit a book on the bed, lay back on the pillows and knit away! Both work great and I find so many uses for them (not just when I have a massive reading assignment, but want to knit at the same time! hehe).

I like to do personal swaps now and again.

I knit, crochet, and make stitch markers.

Just pm me if you wanna swap. Smiley

I watch my soaps. (all 3 ABC soaps) I've been watching since I was a baby LOL, so I don't actually need to even look up because I know everyone's voices. Only when it gets silent do I ever stop and look up Smiley

(haven't quite mastered the knitting without looking at my work yet)

Right now I don't listen to anything.  I've been knitting for just over a week or so though so I still focus on my work a lot.  And now my poor wife who reads the forums gets to listen to me mutter to myself(when I'm home at any rate) "Purl 2, knit 6....how many is that...ok...oh good, still have only 26 stitches...."  I think I might be driving her crazy.

I have, occasionally, in an extreme fit of boredom and hyperactivity, thrown my bike on the trainer and pedaled away while knitting.
Imagine how much crafting I could get done if I worked for these people!

I'm trying to find a way to
a. read while knitting
b. read in the shower
c. read in bed with my hands under the blankets so I don't get cold.

Any ideas, let me know.
In the meantime, I have been downloading audio books from the local library, it's great! They have Blackadder.

When I'm sick of the tv thing, I love NPR!
What's NPR?

That's amazing! and the first one is only $3.85! definitely going to purchase myself one of those... Tongue
And I had always dreamed of somehow being able to read a book without holding it in my hands, and flipping the pages... like a bookholder that flips the pages for you with a push of a button or something?? wow... i'm becoming lazier by the second....
