I have a huge collection of vintage buttons, but these are by far the most special to me because they came from my grandmother's sewing box.  I wanted to do something with them that would allow me to see and enjoy them on a regular basis, so I made them into stud earrings.  I know this simple assembly job doesn't really compare to the gorgeous jewelry that you ladies make, but I love them so much that I just had to share them.

Thanks for looking!

I think they're precious... and that's a very clever use of them. I don't think I would have thought of it.

I agree. I love vintage buttons, especially mother of pearl and glass. When they're put on a piece of clothing they don't get the attention they deserve. I love the idea of making earrings out of them.

Those are very pretty! I am becoming addicted to buttons.  New buttons just look so cheap and boring though.  Undecided  These buttons of your Grandmother's are very gorgeous!

If you have more, you could sew them into a neat design onto a pillow for your couch Smiley  Then you'd see it all the time (if you're a couch potato like me).

Very cute, and a good use for your grandmother's buttons.  Smiley  It might be silly of me, but I my favorite part is that there's thread in the button holes... love it!

Hey - if they mean something to you, it doesn't matter how complex they are. Smiley
