Knittys Abotanicity: http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter07/PATTabotanicity.html

Now that all my Christmas knitting is done, I'm ready for something for me!  I'm hoping to finish before next Christmas!  I am making size 1x/2x and subbing the yarn with Knitpick's Gloss in black.

Anyone ready to jump in with this one?

After some research on possible supplies for that gorgeous piece of knitting - & realizing this is to be done in sock yarn gauge - I s'ppose I'm IN.

Yay Nannetta!
I'm hoping this KAL will help motivate to actually finish this one! I cast on Christmas evening and am about 3" into it so far.   The lace section has me a little nervous because this will only be my second lace project and the first one took quite a bit frogging before I got it right!

Looking forward to seeing your yarn choice.  And "cheers" to what is hopfully a well written pattern!

I cast on using addi 20" circ instead and added an extra marker at the end of what would have been the first ndl where you will be increasing.

I might go with some color ...

Your yarn looks beautiful! All glossy and soft. I think it'll show off the lacy part of this sweater and will define its silhouette really well.

I made a buttoned sweater with lots of little wire-y cables in it just recently from black tweed sock yarn. It goes with almost all of my wardrobe!

I really want to knit this for myself, im justnot sure about the sock yarn, its sooo skinny! I prefer thicker weaters myself, but maybe it would be fun to trysomething different. any progress pics?

Your ONLY black top???  Oh goodness!  My students once kept track of how many days I wore something black!  ha ha  Cheesy  I'm not sure how flattering this would be on me, but I actually like that it's knit in sock yarn so it isn't so bulky around the middle and hips.  I might wait until I see some finished (I have plenty of things on my to-knit list already!)  Can't wait to see yours!
