My friend has this awesome awesome tam that she bought years ago in another state. So, since i couold'nt buy one, I inspected her hat and got the pattern. I used landscape yarn ( which i love btw) and it turned out pretty great. It's a little stiffer than hers, but all in all it's the same. It took me one and a half skeins to make this.

here is the pattern. Please do not sell my pattern or the tams made from them, thanks =)

Message me if it gets too confusing, i've never really posted a pattern before.

2 skeins of landscape yarn
size 5 circular needle
size 10 circular needle
size 10 double pointed needles
needle to weave in ends

cast on with smaller needle  72 sts
st st 8 rows
now switch to bigger needle
(K4,m1) repeat for the whole round (90 sts)
* note, this row is usually pretty tight, because of the needle change and increase)

 st st 16 rows

continue as long as you can and the switch to double pointed needles when round gets too tight to use a circular needle

(K13, K2tog) repeat for whole round (84)
(K12, K2tog) repeat for whole round (78)
(K11, K2tog) repeat for whole round (72)
(K10, K2tog) repeat for whole round (66)
(K9, K2tog) repeat for whole round  (60)
(K8, K2tog) repeat for whole round  (54)
(K7, K2tog) repeat for whole round  (48)
(K6, K2tog) repeat for whole round  (42)
(K5, K2tog) repeat for whole round (36)
(K4, K2tog) repeat for whole round (30)
(K3, K2tog) repeat for whole round (24)
(K2, K2tog) repeat for whole round (18)
(K1, K2tog) repeat for whole round (12)
(K2tog) repeat for whole round       (6)

cut a long tail and use your needle to thread it through the last 6 stitches.

weave in ends and enjoy =)

I love that pink variegated!  So beautiful, and sits atop dark hair wonderfully.  Great job!

I think the one where i am not wearing it shows a truer color. I think i need a new camera because it over flashes the picture making everything look lighter.

Ooh I love it, thanks so much for the pattern :3

Then we should feed our jewelry to the sea
