GALLERY!

Inchies are tiny little works of art. They are exactly 1" by 1", but grouped together, they are big fun! In this swap, you will make 50 inchies. You will then keep 5 for yourself, and send 9 sets of 5 to different partners. At the end of the swap, you will have a great set of 50! Depending on the number of participants and the interest, there may be an option of having more than 9 partners.

Here are a couple of examples of some inchies:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=211483.0
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=215462.0

And here is where we got frisky and started talking about swapping:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=214840.0

There is plenty of time to make these, as sendouts aren't until February 1. You can start right away, as they really don't need to be tailored to a certain partner. You may want to read through both of the posts about inchies above to see two different ways of going about them. Now, if you've got a good swap record and love to send on time, come on and sign up!  Grin

Swap name: Inchies exchange
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: rackycoo
Sign-up date range: Dec. 28- Jan. 9
Date to send items by: February 1

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): 30

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO, and you must be willing to send internationally. These will be letter sized packages with no DC numbers, so mailing will be relatively inexpensive. Participants must also be willing to re-send any lost packages in order to receive positive feedback at the end of the swap. Hopefully the mail gods will be kind to us and this won't be a concern.

All ages allowed? 18+, please

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

The lovely and talented Ms. Phizzychick will be co-organizing this swap, should I untimely die.

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES

Details of swap: You must make 50 1" by 1" inchies, and send a set of 5 to each of 9 partners. International shipping will be required, but these will be letter weight packages with no DCs, so shipping should be cheap.
...

If you want to participate, make sure you post in this thread and send this information to organizer:

Please put "INCHIES EXCHANGE" in the subject line of all PMs regarding this swap. I get a ton of PMs, and this will help me keep them all straight. Thanks!

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:

Name of swap: Inchie exchange
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address including the country
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country? YES, as this will most likely be required.
If there is plenty of interest, would you be interested in sending to more than 9 partners for this round? (I will check with you on how many before assigning them!)

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

AFTER PEOPLE HAVE SIGNED UP AND BEEN APPROVED, LIST THE PARTICIPANTS HERE AND WHO IS SENDING TO WHOM:

Is there a strandard thickness for the inchies? Can you just do them on normal card or is that too thin?

I think that if they're at least on cardstock or sturdy watercolor paper, they're fine. I wouldn't do them on typing paper or anything else too thin, but there's really no standard thickness. I know some people were going to do them on matboard, but mine are either on watercolor paper or have a couple of layers of the thicker scrapbook paper on them.
