Yup, I'm now obsessed.  I just spent the entire evening making a background for my inchies.  I'm not sure if these will end up being the ones that I swap or not, but I'm really liking the background.  It has lots of layers, and LOTS of glue  Grin.

I hope there is one more slot left for me. I told myself I should take a break, but since the send out isn't until February, why not XD

Okay, I'll give into peer pressure  Tongue.  Here is a preview:

The flash has pretty much erased every layer but the top one; it has a lot more depth in person.  There is scrapbooking paper on the bottom, then vintage text, then vintage tissue paper sewing patterns, then paint on top of everything.  Modge Podge and I had a lot of fun tonight!

Now I just need to cut it up and start collaging on top!

I claimed I was only gonna do 2 swaps at a time this year...le sigh, this will make my max at 5 for Dec 31st, hmm already breaking "resolutions." Well and another one regarding swaps was that I would only do stuff where I could use my stash, which this fits...except maybe for a couple little things, like glue! Speaking of which, I haven't done any paper crafts in a while, what would be a good glue to use for this project?  (assuming lots of layers of paper, maybe fabric, maybe mulberry paper?) With my luck I will use something way too thick and chunky or something that won't stick and it falls apart.

And I think I would look at all the ones I receive and group them into small groups and make lots of smaller framed pics! Not necesarily groups of 5 from one person, try to find some themes or colors or something to link em up! Oh and let me mention again that I am planning stuff to decorate my new apartment!

And I forget, was there a ruling on 3d elements being allowed? Buttons, that kinda thing? Or will that not be good if people are planning to frame? Or would we want to frame without glass anyways??

Good question, I thought about maybe incorporating seed beads in mine if possible.

I apparently don't have any watercolor paper on hand, so I need to get some to get started.  I have some ideas in mind.  My approach will be closer to Babbetto rather than glue and layering paper.  My only concern about the beads is that they might fall off too easy.  Maybe if I use super glue.
