I've got my first batch done, and I tried to take some photos, but they really aren't coming out at all.  Do you guys use a scanner or something?  my flash washes out all the color and detail.

I take photos by a window, and never use a flash. Try that. Flashes always seem to wash it all out. If it's not too bright out, sometimes a lamp or even overhead will work, just no flash!  Smiley

Oh, and I'm loving all these colors!  do you get the prismacolor pencils and stuff at an art shop, or do they carry them at craft stores?

Everyone's stuff is so wonderful!

JoAnn's should have them. They are a little expensive for a whole set but they are some of the nicest colored pencils.

I couldn't get a link on their website but here is the actual product:

*sigh* likely my last post of the day before hell begins Angry.  Oh well, I'll get through it.

I bought a set of 12 prismacolor pencils at Michaels for $15 to $16 specifically after seeing Babbetto's work.  I haven't used them yet, but this weekend I will go for it.  I wish I could afford a larger set, but it isn't in the cards right now.

Oh dear, my work just arrived.  Everyone have fun for me today  Smiley

The images I used for the inchies I posted above were from some 50s children's magazines that I picked up at an antique store.  I don't like to actually cut up old things, so I scan most of my ephemera and then print it out to use it.
I LOVE those images Alli_Lucy - aren't scanners wonderful?Huh

Hope your day isn't as bad as it sounds myklia!

In fact I hope everyone has great days back (if that's possible?). My bloke has already phoned me twice because he's bored. Each time he asks what I'm doing and gets the same answer...'watching Bones and making inchies' Cheesy

In that last pic of mine the flash has made the images a bit washed out too. I was too impatient to wait for the sun to come out Roll Eyes Natural light makes such a difference.

All of these in progress pictures are so fun!  I love to see everyone's different interpretations of 1" squares.  It's amazing how much you can do with such a small space.

I have to go to work this morning too. How come everyone else has this day off also? Boo.

I'm still off because I'm a student on winter break.  I don't think I'll have any inchie time today, however, because I'm headed to a conference on Thursday and I'm in last minute panic mode trying to get my research ready to present.  Eeek!  School starts again on Monday, after which point I will have far less Craftster time.  Cry

Okay, I know it's sad but I had to re-take the photo's when the sun came out Roll Eyes The colours look more accurate in this one.

I have another 5 done too, but they're not on this pic. More of the same madness Wink Only 15 more to go, woo hoo!
