I'm inspired ladies! I haven't spun in a year or so, I'm headed home after work to break out the drop spindle and the roving! Thanks for all of your lovely inspiration!!!!!

I forgot to mention when I posted how much I was loving the spinning today.  It's pretty grey here so all the color is great.

As for "Bob", the colors would not have been something I picked off the shelf, but I love it (yay Boy!) and I know that when it becomes mittens, that bit of fiery color will make me happy...

I need to start stashing fiber.  I really have missed spinning!!

"En Fuego"- plied with shiny burgundy metallic thread:

"Library"- 2-ply worsted weight:

"Chilly Willy"- 2 strands of handspun, one of silver metallic thread. Bulky-worsted weight:

"Sirne"- bulky thick and thin, plied with shiny light blue metallic thread:

"Flannel Shirt"- thick and thin:

Heres a singles yarn I spun up and am completely clueless what to do with. Its so fine I'd like to make some sort of lace project out of it, but at the same time its "art yarn" quality would really take away from any detailed stitch pattern. Any ideas?

slick:

that yarn is loooovely. and there's so much of it, or so it seems! perhaps a very lacy stitch, that way the yarn shines instead of the stitch?

darlingbud:

I love all those squishy colorful plies! and the beautiful single...

feralfeminine:
love it as always.

I fully plan on participating in the next fiber friday, yay!! the part for my wheel is ordered and should be here in a few days. Cheesy

Everything this week look amazing! I love Chelsea, Bonny, Seascape, Stained Glass, etc. So many lovely yarns!

I've been lazy, still have half of my latest skein to spin, plus pictures to take. Sigh.

Maybe you could try something like the Airy Scarf from Last Minute Knitted Gifts?  If you're not familiar with the pattern, it's basically garter stitch on big needles with a few rows of eyelets every once in a while.  It's simple but pretty.  Or take a look at Wisp from Knitty.  The same idea, but more like a shawl or a wrap.
It's lovely yarn, good luck finding a pattern you like!

Oh that Wisp pattern is really nice! I was thinking of doing a feather and fan shawl, but the wispy one seems alot quicker and more versatile.
