Hi, I just sent in my questionnaire.  I hope I am allowed to participate and I am a little nervous like many other posters.  I have never done a SWAP before.  I have some good ideas and I made a good number of Christmas gifts this year so I think I can do well, and put a smile on a crafsterpal's face.

Am I gonna finish in 3 weeks?

here are the craftster "size" guidelines:

by time:
Large- 3+ hours
Medium-2+hours
Small-less than 2 hours

you are required to craft 1 MEDIUM (2-3 hours MAX) and 3 SMALL (6 hours total MAX) things this equals to at most about 9 hours of total craft time according to the craftster "size" guidelines. 9 hours in a 3 week period is not a lot.

You can look at it as a goal and/or challenge, but if you don't think you can budget your time and get your items crafted and sent off by the deadline then please do not join.

everyone that has been in on the last few rounds I have personally organized had only positive things to say about the newbie swap. I guide you through every step of the process and teach you all the things you should do and all the things you should not do. I basically give you all the means necessary to gain excellent swapping habits that will help you during the rest of your swapping endeavours.

you are a young one, eh? you can put that in as a personal request, but there are NO gaurantees that you will get someone your age or even around your age. I dont think we have anyone that is under 18, but I think we have a participant that is 18.

I use a few things when determining partners....

1. location and willingness to ship outside of your own country
2. what you can craft
3. what you would like crafted for you
4. allergies & pets

another thing to maybe think about is...do you know anyone else on craftster that is your age and wants to craft? just a thought.

I really want to sign up but I'm just scared.
It's like, what if my stuff sucks? Am I gonna finish in 3 weeks? What if I can't come up with anything? Eeeek!

Bunny, you should sign up anyway. Seriously. This is a great starter swap, and because it *is* the first swap for all of us, we're probably all scared stiff with swap anxiety, including myself.

Oh, and kishcrafts, I know we haven't even really started this swap yet, but I just wanted to say a big thanks for doing a swap like this so we all can figure out the do-sn and don't-s of swapping as well as meet some new people. This definitely rocks.

This is the 7th Round of the NEWBIE ONLY Swap. I have hosted the last 2 rounds and it feels really good to be able to aid in the learning process, and help all ofy ou get all the kinks out and send you on your way to becoming a swapping monster! LOL

There wasn't a Newbie Swap round going on when I first decided to join in on the swapping fun, but if there was one going on I would have joined for sure.

I am a stickler for making you swappers follow ALL of my and craftster's rules, but I am a very fair organizer and send gentle reminders by PM when you do something incorrectly.
