Chocolate Balls (heh!)--With How-To!

yum. i'm going to make these when i celebrate reaching my weight watchers goal. seems only right, doesn't it?

Ha!  Funny you should say that.  I was on a weight-loss kick a few years ago and this particular plan allowed you to have one free day a week, so me and a bunch of other people on the message board for that plan would talk about what we were gonna have on free day.  That's where I got this recipe!!

These are so good.  I made them today, and my boyfriend and I have been eating them since they came out of the fridge.  We had them at a Halloween party and loved them.  I was so excited to see a recipe here!!

I packed some up for my husband to take to work and he was in a rush and forgot them.  I called him, specifically so I could ask "Hey, did you know you forgot your BALLS???" and then laugh like an idiot.

I could not help but laugh at this.  I'd do the same thing.

I made a big double batch of these early this orning to take to give as a gift. Threy are aswesome!!
I used oreos for 1 batch,  dipped in milk chocolte & the store brand mint flovred sandwich cookes, dipped in dark chocolate for the second batch...those are awesome!!

I made these!!!  but i was the only one who liked them   i think it's cause they are sooo rich, and my family is not a too sweet food kinda family

I made a batch of these last night for a staff meeting this morning, and of course - they're a hit! The only thing I'm wondering is, can this be done with any other kind of cookie? Would it be as tasty with, say, nutter-butters crushed and mixed with creamcheese? Or - what about good ol' chips a hoy?

Im not saying its not perfect as is with the oreos, but I'm just thinking of expanding, making an assortment of balls. what do you guys think?

Now, I'm pregnant, so everything sounds absolutely delicious at this exact moment, but I say... DO IT!  Those sound so good.

omg i have to make these things alllll the time for the people at work lol and if i want something, i just bribe them with some. i usually dip mine in almond bark, but i'll have to try them dipped in chocolate

I think they would probably work out well with any other sandwich cookie!  I don't know that Chips Ahoy would work because they don't have any kind of cream filling.  I did use this same method when they had mint Oreos (I think that was a limited time only kind of Oreo) and I did it with the Oreos that have chocolate cream in the middle (tasted pretty much the same as the ones made with regular Oreos) and they all turned out just as yummy!
