I made a hat for my BF and it looks really nice, unfortunately it is too big. My question is: If I were to felt the hat how much would it shrink? I used lion brand thick and quick, Wool/acrylic blend.

If you're talking about Wool-Ease Thick and Quick, it won't felt at all.  If the label says "machine wash and dry" or "superwash wool", you're not going to get a felting action because the fibers have been treated so as to not mat together.

Think about frogging it and re-using the yarn?  Or giving it to charity...  Sorry to have been the bearer of bad news...
