More information here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=216223.0

This was part of my sister's Christmas gift. Instead of doing the scarf in Hogwarts House colors, I used University of Kansas colors since that is where my sister is going to school.

Caron Simply Soft, about 13 feet long, 9 inches wide.

The Golden Snitch, from Melissa Mall's pattern at http://www.innerchildcrochet.com - done in embroidery thread and crochet thread.

Check out the original post for more Harry Potter goodness!
(I hope that posting these projects twice is ok - the main post is in the Miscellaneous section, and I wanted crocheters to see these!)

Those are great, I like that you did the scarf in her "house colors" that is a great take on the idea.  Wow I said great a lot.  I really like the snitch.  I made one for my friend as a tree ornament this year, I just used random yarn I had in my stash.  I think the body is Red Heart, and I have no idea what I used for the wings.

hheever, your snitch is cute! I didn't think of making tree ornaments. That would be cool, to have an entire HP themed tree ... with an owl at the top!

oh it totally would!  I know I saw patterns for HP amigurimi somewhere.  You could have Harry and the gang, and some snitches, maybe mini house scarves, topped by Hedwig.  I will have to pass the idea to my friend for next year!
