I needed some fish embellishments for scrapbook pages and searched on the net for instructions before deciding work out my own.  I had bought the sculpty and had the finished project pictured in my mind.  I used a smooshing brush to lightly rub gold paint onto the fish and was pretty pleased with the result.

I have only ever made heart buttons before.

Finished fishy pages

They look really good!  I love the gold shininess of them.

They're great! I have to try making embellishments like that for my cards.
But, at the risk of sounding ignorant, what is a smooshing brush?

I spelt it wrong it's actually smooching not smooshing.  It's a brush that is used dry with most of the paint rubbed of it, to add highlights to a a painted piece.  that's if I remember rightly, it's been a while since painting class.
this is what it looks like.
