I made this bag for my sister for X-mas. I drafted the pattern for her bag last year and was running out of time this year and didn't have the time to fiddle with a self-made pattern this year. So, it's McCalls M5198. The pattern pieces were nice, but the pattern instructions weren't that great. They were quite confusing and ambiguous. I ended up using the pattern instructions for only for the straps.

My lil' sister is modeling it for me.



It was this really cool crushed velvet with a silky dress lining as the lining with a zipper and danglies on the flap and zipper.  It's not stuffed in the pic so it's a bit droopy and I admit it looks cooler in real life.
